Amazon Kinesis Streams Announcement

AWS publicly launched Amazon Kinesis Streams, a fully managed service for real-time processing of large, distributed data streams, during its annual re:Invent conference. This introduced the core service that KCL would enable.

Significance

This was the foundational event, as KCL was designed specifically to work with Kinesis Streams. It marked AWS's strong entry into the real-time data streaming market.
