AWS CodeDeploy General Availability

AWS officially launched CodeDeploy to the public at its annual re:Invent conference, making it available for customers to automate application deployments to Amazon EC2 instances.

Significance

This marked a significant step by AWS to provide a managed, integrated solution for a universal operational problem, directly addressing the pain points of manual deployment and bolstering the shift towards automated CI/CD practices in the cloud.
