Completion of ENIAC

The Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC), the first general-purpose electronic digital computer, was completed. It was programmed by setting switches and connecting cables.

Represented the pinnacle of early electronic computing, where 'programming' was a physical rewiring act, a pure form of bare-metal interaction.
