After being forced out of Apple, Steve Jobs founded NeXT to build high-end workstations and an advanced object-oriented operating system, NeXTSTEP.

Significance

NeXTSTEP would eventually become the foundation of Apple's future operating system, macOS, demonstrating Jobs' vision for modern computing.
