HTTP/1.0 Specification Publication
Roy Fielding was a co-author of the HTTP/1.0 specification (RFC 1945), which defined the initial stateless protocol for the World Wide Web.
Significance
This was Fielding's direct involvement in defining a core web protocol, the very system whose architectural style he would later formalize as REST. It provided the practical foundation he analyzed.
