Kusto Project Initiation

A small team within Microsoft Israel began working on a new analytical engine, codenamed 'Kusto,' to address the acute need for scalable, interactive operational analytics within Azure.

Significance

This marked the genesis of Azure Data Explorer, born out of a critical internal pain point that could not be solved by existing technologies.
