Monaco Editor Development Begins

The Monaco editor, the web-based code editor core of VS Code, began its life as a component for Internet Explorer's F12 developer tools and later for Visual Studio Online (Azure DevOps). This foundational work proved the viability of a high-performance editor in the browser.
