MQTT Protocol Creation

Dr. Andy Stanford-Clark of IBM and Arlen Nipper of Arcom conceived and developed the first version of the MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol. It was designed specifically for lightweight, reliable messaging over unreliable networks, initially for monitoring oil pipelines via satellite.
