Original iTerm Release

The initial version of iTerm (not iTerm2) was released. It offered tabbed windows and some customization over Apple's Terminal.app but suffered from performance and architectural limitations.

Significance

Paved the way for iTerm2 by demonstrating the unmet need for an advanced terminal on macOS and highlighting the pitfalls of its own implementation.
