ParAccel Founded

ParAccel was founded by a team of database veterans with a vision for a next-generation analytical database. They developed a column-oriented, massively parallel processing (MPP) database system designed for high-performance analytics.

Significance

ParAccel's innovative technology, particularly its columnar storage and MPP architecture, would become the foundational core upon which Amazon Redshift was built.
