PHP Tools (PHP/FI) Creation

Rasmus Lerdorf developed a set of C scripts to manage his personal website, including a guestbook and visitor counter. He later called these 'Personal Home Page Tools' (PHP Tools).

Significance

This marked the very beginning of PHP, conceived out of a personal need for dynamic web content, not as a full-fledged programming language.
