PingCAP Founded

Liu Xiang, Cui Wenyuan, and Huang Dongxu officially founded PingCAP, laying the groundwork for the TiDB project with the goal of building a distributed SQL database.

This marked the official beginning of the TiDB project and the formation of the core team that would develop it.
