Shinshu Seiki EP-101 Release

Shinshu Seiki Co., Ltd. (later Seiko Epson) released the EP-101, a miniature electronic printer developed for Seiko's printing timers. It employed a tiny print head with multiple pins.

Significance

This was one of the very first commercially available miniature digital printers, laying a foundational cornerstone for compact dot matrix technology.
