Solr initial development at CNET

Yonik Seeley begins developing Solr (Search Object Linking and Referencing) at CNET to address their internal search needs, building on top of Apache Lucene.

Significance

This marked the genesis of Solr, born out of a real-world enterprise need, proving Lucene's potential as a foundation for a full-fledged search server.
