Yugabyte Inc. Founded

K.R. Rakesh, Kannan Muthukkaruppan, and Karthik Ranganathan officially founded Yugabyte Inc., driven by their vision to build an open-source, distributed SQL database.

Significance

This marked the formal beginning of the company and the commencement of active development on the YugabyteDB project.
